Church Evicted
A four-member church has been evicted from their building because they don't have the 18 parking spaces required by code. The owner of the property (one of the members) sought the expensive zoning amendment so the church may again meet there. The city is recommending denial of application because they don't have 18 parking spaces for the 4 members. Ironically:
The City's Zoning Code does not even define this small group of believers as a prohibited 'church,' because it is not the primary use of the building. It seems the City is paranoid about having a non-profit, non-commercial use near its downtown area.
Part of me thinks we should just nuke Kalifornia into oblivion--the land of fruits and nuts has little to no redeeming value.
Another part of me welcomes some real persecution of the church in America. The church has gotten soft, compromised and perverted the Word of God, and conformed to a fallen society. Some persecution might help weed out the CINOs. Unfortunately, I expect the pastors would largely remain, but they need to be the first to go...unless the IRS spoils their source of income.
