I ran across this blog post a while back (Vox linked to it), and I wanted to pass it along. Too funny.

Please pray for new parents

|

Some friends of ours have just been blessed with their first child, and they are having a hard time. The new mom, especially, is struggling with her fears about parenting, and with nursing in specific. They are also having a hard time getting sleep. They are both strong believers, but I am afraid they are having a hard time hearing the Lord right now. » read more »

The "threat" of home schooling

I believe that this article does an excellent job of summing up society's attitude toward homeschoolers, and why it is under attack. » read more »

The Basics

In this editorial, Joseph Farah suggests a radical notion: pass a test in order to qualify to vote. Of course, this idea has already been discussed at tuscanycircle in this thread. In the editorial, Farah provides a link to an online quiz comprised of some of the "more difficult" questions from the U.S. citizenship test. » read more »

It takes a (Canadian) village (with a courthouse)

Remember, the government doesn't get its income from taxes. It gets its income from printing money. The tax money we send in is most likely just dumped on a fire in order to cap the rampant inflation generated by the Fed.

By their fruits shall ye know them

This article presents a very telling description of the fruits of radical feminism. Its author is Rebecca Walker, the daughter of Alice Walker. Alice Walker is the author of, among other things, The Color Purple, as well as a renowned feminist icon. Rebecca Walker's perspective on her mother's beliefs, while completely secular, is quite revealing. » read more »

As it was in the days of Noah...

| | |

The title of this post is a quote from Matthew 24:37: "But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be." (NKJV) In the past, I have wondered just what this meant. I recently learned something that may shed some light on this issue. » read more »
